another wine blog!

I know it’s been done before, I get it. But hey, it was either this or video games and I wanted something with less eye-rolling from my family so I chose wine.

I’ll be writing about wines that I’m excited to share with you on my journey from being just your average wine bro, to an aficionado, to one day (hopefully) becoming a certified wine professional.

I’ll share one cool thing about a bottle of wine I think you should know more about, describe aspects of the wine that will have you drinking and talking like a pro (or so I’m told), share stories from my time orbiting the industry, and try to help break down the barriers to wine. It doesn’t always have to be snooty or intimidating.

So many things that I want to say, You know I like my wines a little bit older.

I talk a bit about the trip, my history with the valley, and get very nerdy on wine from Checkerboard Vineyards, Progeny, and Napa Native.

We're taking a breather from reviewing wine, don't worry, there are still TONS to explore, but I thought this month would be a great time to start sharing some stories from my experience in wine production. We set the table for a three-part exploration of winemaking, and start with my favorite thus far, the Harvest!

[ It all begins with an idea. ] This was placeholder copy, but I actually love it for the excerpt of our first post. I talk about what I am doing with this website, pick a wine that was my wine of the summer, and tell you one cool thing about a wine that you can get pretty much anywhere.
